The HR Manager at SMIT Thermal Solutions plays a central role in a fast paced, technology driven, multidisciplinary and international environment. You are responsible for SMIT’s HR strategy and operations to bring out the best in our employees. You will be part of the Management Team and you will report to the CEO

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Complete management and oversight of the full HR cycle.
  • Translating HR policies to tactical and operational policies and responsible for roll out within the company.
  • Signal possible bottlenecks in the execution of HR policies and undertake improvement actions.
  • Inform and advise MT concerning HR matters.
  • Monitor HR year calendar, prepare HR processes.
  • Source of information for managers and employees regarding CAO (Metalektro) procedures, relevant HR laws and regulations.
  • Consulting with line management and provide daily HR guidance.
  • Manage conflict occurrence and labour law related issues.
  • Identify/follow up on requests for training needs.
  • Maintaining and updating data in HR personnel system and organizing contracts.
  • Coordinating employee performance assessments.
  • Follow up on reintegration and procedures as stated in sick leave policy and case management.
  • Regular review policies and procedures to ensure that it meets the legal obligations.
  • Processing all data for the salaries and coordinating salary payments.
  • Providing support to employee/manager regarding IND and tax related questions.
  • Contact person for internal and external parties for recruitment, pension, insurances and all other HR topics.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
  • 5 to 10 years working experience in the field of HR.
  • Initiating and driving HR projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English are required.
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • You have good payroll knowledge, preferably with NMBRS.
